What goals can I achieve?

Fasting can lead to sustainable and healthy weight loss, that much is certain. However, science, medicine, and elite sports often focus on autophagy—our body's own regeneration and cleansing program—which is activated during fasting . Autophagy is as old as life itself. The Nobel Prize was awarded for the discovery of autophagy only in 2016. Today, we know that fasting particularly activates autophagy and why it has many other health benefits besides weight loss.

Contents of the box

  • The first day of fasting

    In the daily box for the first day of fasting you will find our delicious Quinoa Crunch for breakfast, a pasta dish for lunch and Tyrolean mash with roasted onions for dinner.

  • The second day of fasting

    For breakfast on the second day of fasting, you will have berry/fruity food, for lunch you will have pea and potato puree, and in the evening you will have cream of mushroom soup.

  • The third day of fasting

    The third day of the fasting week begins with a chocolatey breakfast. For lunch, there's a fruity risotto, and for dinner, broccoli and almond soup.

  • The fourth day of fasting

    The penultimate day of fasting offers the perfect start to the day with our Yacon Crunch. A fruity dal lentil dish and our popular tomato soup round out the penultimate day of the fasting week.

  • The fifth day of fasting

    On the last day of fasting, you will find our Nut Crunchy Breakfast, a dish made with several beets, and a broccoli cream pasta in Day Box 5.

What is Salufast?

Who is Prof. Andreas Michalsen?

Prof. Andreas Michalsen is a co-founder of Salufast and significantly involved in product development. He has been a professor of clinical naturopathy at the Charité University Medicine Berlin since 2009 and is one of the world's leading scientific advocates for naturopathy, nutritional medicine, and fasting medicine. What do the fasting boxes contain?

Is this “real” fasting?

Yes. Current studies and research results show that a significant calorie reduction does not lead to better fasting effects. On the contrary, unnecessary calorie reduction leads to avoidable protein breakdown, with the body's own proteins becoming particularly important with age. The meals contain a selection of herbal ingredients and active substances. We also utilize insights from Ayurveda – many spices (such as turmeric or chili) contain secondary plant compounds, which have positive effects on health in general and specifically during fasting. Therefore, the meals may taste somewhat spicy. The meals are also very high in fiber, which is said to reduce feelings of hunger.

Are the meals vegan?

Yes, all Salufast products are vegan, free from preservatives and additives, and certified organic.

Is the packaging sustainable?

Of course! Natural medicine and sustainability go hand in hand. We ship our goods in sustainable boxes made of grass paper. Grass has a significantly better environmental footprint than conventional virgin fiber pulp:

- Significantly lower CO2 emissions
- Conservation of wood resources
- No use of land from the feed industry

How long does shipping take?

The order will be processed as quickly as possible and forwarded to the shipping service provider (DHL in Germany). Shipping typically takes 2 to 5 business days. Once the order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, we have no influence over the delivery process.

Who is fasting with Salufast suitable for?

Salufast is suitable for anyone seeking natural and sound ways to achieve sustainable well-being. This fasting program, specifically designed for home use, was developed by leading physicians.

People with chronic illnesses or taking medication should not fast alone and should consult their doctor.

There are very few contraindications where you should not fast:
