Linseed oil with DHA & EPA: Our popular linseed oil

It's well known that sea fish contain high levels of omega-3 fatty acids. Did you know that fish don't produce these omega-3 fatty acids themselves, but rather absorb them through their diet and thus enrich them? The original source of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) is algae. This oil is enriched with flavorless algal oil, making it ideal for a vegan diet.

  • Organic flax

Linseed oil is one of the most valuable vegetable oils due to its high content of alpha-linolenic acid (approx. 54%).

  • DHA & EPA from algae

The linseed oil contains DHA and EPA fatty acids extracted from the algae. It provides you with all the essential omega-3 fatty acids.

  • Sustainable and regional

Our products are lovingly produced, bottled and shipped in Germany.

Linseed oil with DHA & EPA -

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fats. This means the body cannot produce them on its own. We must therefore consume these important fatty acids daily through our diet. Regular consumption of flaxseed oil promotes well-being. Furthermore, consuming flaxseed oil promotes the natural balance of cholesterol and blood lipid levels.

Ingredients

Organic linseed oil, cold-pressed (96%)*; DHA and EPA from the algae Schizochytrium sp. (*= from controlled organic cultivation / DE-ÖKO-013) 25 ml of oil contains 250 mg DHA & 125 mg EPA

Production and storage

Due to its high omega-3 content, linseed oil has a limited shelf life, so we press it fresh daily. We use only select, bitter-free, and healthy raw materials, which are processed using a particularly gentle process that eliminates exposure to light, heat, and oxygen. This preserves all of the important nutrients, the typical nutty flavor, and the rich golden-yellow color of the linseed oil. Please store in a cool, dark place (in the refrigerator). Consume the oil within four weeks of opening. Once produced, the unopened linseed oil has a shelf life of three months. Tip: Linseed oil can be frozen to prevent any loss of quality during storage. The glass bottles won't burst because oil contracts when frozen.

The taste

Our golden-yellow linseed oil has a very aromatic and slightly nutty flavor. Don't worry, the addition of algal oil leaves it completely free of any fishy flavor. The freshwater algae Schizochytrium sp. used for the algal oil grew in breeding tanks and is therefore also free of iodine, pollutants, and heavy metals.
